The Oil painting on Cardboard titled “Silent whispers between green shores" captures a serene, meditative moment within a natural landscape where water, rock, and forest converge in quiet harmony. The painting draws the viewer into a secluded riverbank where the movement of the current and the solidity of the stones tell a timeless story of nature's resilience and balance. The artist uses thick, expressive brushstrokes and an evocative palette to create not just a scene, but an atmosphere—an intimate dialogue between the viewer and the natural world, filled with peace, mystery, and reverence. In the foreground, the river flows gently, painted with sweeping strokes of blues, greens, and hints of violet that suggest both depth and clarity. The water is alive with reflections, catching the colors of the surrounding rocks and forest, yet it retains its own character, calm and steady. Patches of warmer hues—orange, gold, and subtle lavender—surface within the water, as if the river itself absorbs the sunlight filtering through the trees. These reflections shimmer softly, creating the impression of whispered secrets carried along by the current. Scattered throughout the water are large, pale stones, their surfaces highlighted in tones of ivory, ochre, and soft violet. These rocks, rendered with thick, textured strokes, ground the scene in permanence, offering a counterpoint to the fluidity of the river. Some stones appear partially submerged, their bases hidden beneath the cool blues and greens of the water, while others rise more prominently, glistening as though freshly kissed by light. The juxtaposition of hard stone and moving water emphasizes the enduring relationship between two natural forces—solid and fluid, silent and murmuring. Beyond the river, the composition transitions into a dense wall of greenery, where dark forest hues dominate. Here, deep greens, earthy browns, and shadows of black form a textured backdrop, suggesting the presence of thick trees and undergrowth. The vertical strokes of paint in this part of the canvas evoke the feeling of trunks and leaves intertwined, standing watch over the river in solemn silence. The darker tones of the forest not only enhance the sense of depth but also create a contrast that allows the lighter stones and shimmering water to radiate even more strongly.

Works by Boris Serdyuk are held in museums in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, as well as in private collections in Ukraine, European countries, the USA, Israel, and other countries.
In 2018, the artist entered the global art space of the creative platform in New York, where seven of his works were included in the catalog "Painting & Graphics."
Currently lives and works in Kremenchuk, Poltava Region.
Took his first steps in the world of visual arts within the walls of his local school, then studied at Yuriev-Polsky Pedagogical School. After graduation, he returned to his homeland and started working as a drawing and painting teacher.
Later, he realized that for an artist, creative freedom is essential. Thus, after seventeen years of teaching, he left the profession to focus on his creative work. The artist is content to have the opportunity to engage in his beloved craft, which he considers the meaning of his life.
His journey had its ups and downs, victories in competitions, and recognition from admirers, yet he never ceased his determined quest for his artistic path. In ancient times, "serdyuk" referred to professional infantrymen in the Cossack ranks. This heritage likely passed down not only the surname but also many Cossack traits to the artist, including hard work, modesty, and human dignity.
Boris Serdyuk creates in genres such as portrait, landscape, and thematic composition. His works are varied, reflecting the artist's impressions of the places he visited. Among them are picturesque corners of Kremenchuk and Dnipro views, urban and maritime landscapes, the grandeur of the Carpathian Mountains, and cozy Ukrainian villages. His canvases are intriguing in terms of color and relatively compositionally perfect, revealing the life of nature at the time of their execution.
There are also commissioned portraits and paintings, such as "Shevchenko in Baturyn." He spent over a year working on it, studying the architecture of the former hetman capital. However, the artist prefers to work swiftly, capturing the vision of a painting before it fades from his mind and before the sun changes its angle and shadows. On average, according to the artist, he spends about 40 minutes on a single landscape.
Boris successfully combines a poetic perception of the world and a deep understanding of nature with brilliant artistic execution. His paintings exude a special light and a delicate sense of nature – vivid colors on the canvas resonate with intermediate tones. The artist has abandoned contours, replacing them with separate and contrasting brushstrokes; his paintings amaze with colors, not only their diversity but also the amount of substance applied to the canvas – vibrant, vivid, voluminous.
Describing the master's works is a challenging task. Boris Serdyuk's works are special – they are painted with soul. One must see and feel the wonderful harmony of nature on the artist's canvases firsthand and touch the great mystery of Art.
