Description
This work offers a captivating aerial view of a city bathed in golden light. The buildings with orange roofs and ochre walls fit together harmoniously, forming a fascinating urban labyrinth. Winding streets traverse the composition, leading the viewer's gaze through the architectural maze. The masterful use of perspective creates a striking depth, while the warm color palette evokes the warmth and tradition of the region. In the background, a blurred landscape of hills stretches out under a pale blue sky, adding a dimension of tranquility to the whole. This painting is distinguished by its geometric, almost cubist style, which gives a modern dynamic to a classical scene. A work that testifies to the subtle encounter between tradition and modernity, captivating with its precision and aesthetics.
Presentation
Laetitia DEMORTREUX was born in 1976 in Paris.
Graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in 2001. The gaze evolves on the fields and architectures treated with breadth, subject to the rhythm of a warm palette in shades of Naples Yellow and Sienna Earth. At first glance, the forms seem to reach the simplicity of abstract art, but quickly the elements emerge and carry the spectator far from his vision on a human scale, in a true Flight. After having exhibited in Parisian Galleries and Salons (Salon ART CAPITAL, Salon de la Marine, SNBA, Salon des Indépendants), Laetitia exhibited in Italy (Milan, Siena). She currently presents her work in Australia via the OFFMARKET Gallery in Perth. Laetitia is a member of the Taylor Foundation.
