Description
This abstract artwork captivates with its layered textures and rich color palette. Dominating the canvas are horizontal striations in earthy tones of sepia, rust, and aubergine, evoking a sense of geological depth and complexity. The artist adeptly uses both smooth and rough textures, creating an interplay of light and shadow that invites reflection. Streaks of white introduce an element of contrast, guiding the viewer's eye across the composition. Two circular motifs at the bottom-left add an enigmatic focal point, their intricate patterns suggesting themes of unity and duality. This piece stands out for its ability to balance warmth and mystery, making it both a visual and emotional journey. Its sophisticated blend of color, texture, and form exemplifies the innovative spirit of contemporary Spanish art.
Presentation
Enric Correa is a self-taught artist whose work explores the relationship between color, matter, and emotional territory. His artistic language lies between atmospheric abstraction and a poetics of layers, where texture and light construct landscapes that evoke memory, geology, and transformation. Through constant research, he combines acrylics, enamels, sprays, and textural materials to create deep and vibrant surfaces that reinterpret Nature from an intimate and sensory perspective.
In recent years, he has expanded his practice to include expressive figuration—especially birds—which extends his abstract universe into new forms of energy and presence. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Barcelona, as well as national art fairs and competitions, and his work has been recognized by the Esart Gallery (Barcelona), the Accademia Internazionale Greci-Marino (Italy), and various international platforms. He has also been featured in specialized publications such as Revistart.
