Focused on abstraction, Marianne Quinzin's work evokes nature and its elements. Flowers, landscapes, skies, waters, mountains and rocks nourish his inspiration.

Driven by color and experimentation, each canvas invites him to a new adventure. The artist creates imaginary spaces imbued with memories and emotions, in a dialogue between will and chance, intention and accident, bias and use of the unexpected.

His artistic affinities are multiple and eclectic. She admires the light of Turner, the power of the colored vibrations and the rigor of the compositions of De Staël, the explosive freedom of Joan Mitchell, the technical mastery and the extent of the work of Gerhard Richter, sometimes figurative, sometimes abstract.

The artistic movements that influence his painting are mainly abstract expressionism and lyrical abstraction. She is particularly inspired by the work of Zao Wou-Ki, for his search for light, his play of transparency and opacity, and his alternations of emptiness and fullness.
