Description
This painting unfolds a hybrid, almost totemic figure, caught between abstraction and expressionism. The forms seem to emerge from a controlled chaos, as if the face—or rather, the presence—were simultaneously constructing and deconstructing itself. The palette, dominated by blacks, whites, and blues, creates a cold, almost mineral tension.
The thick lines that structure the “face" give the impression of a fractured mask, traversed by internal currents. One senses a mechanical breathing, an organism wavering between human, animal, and machine. The hatching, patterns, and almost anatomical areas reinforce this idea of a being in transformation.
The background, equally dynamic, absorbs and rejects form, as if space surrounded the figure with a charged mental atmosphere. One can discern a struggle between appearance and disappearance. The whole evokes an exploration of the transient, of passage, perhaps even of a raw emotional state—a symbolic self-portrait that never explicitly states its name, yet pulsates with life.

FROM CHAOS TO THE LIVING BEING
When I paint or draw, I start from chaos, I begin to paint spontaneously simple elements, forms, lines, surfaces arranged without preconceived ideas on the canvas. These elements intertwine, associate and give birth to complex forms. I reveal then by drawing on this bottom: figures, members, bodies, objects.
This creates diversified characters, which come from the chaos and inscribe their reality. It is a spontaneous, physical and spiritual act.
