Description
This dynamic artwork embodies a fusion of pop culture and street art. At its center, the character of Columbo, recognizable by his pensive expression, is surrounded by an explosion of color, symbols, and diverse text. Graffiti elements mingle with references to the world of crime and investigation, underscoring a theme of mystery. The presence of an iconic car, adorned with the word "Columbo," adds a nostalgic and iconic dimension. Multiple references, such as newspapers and cartoons, enrich the composition, creating a visual kaleidoscope. The artist uses collage techniques to layer urban motifs and elements of popular culture, creating a work that captivates with its energy and narrative complexity. This piece is a celebration of contemporary art and its eclectic influences.
Presentation
Fanni Mayer was born in Lyon and lives in the Paris region.
When pop meets contemporary, when nostalgia meets modernism, Fanni reveals himself by revisiting these arts imbued with world culture.
Raised between Germany and Belgium, the French artist has always been a great multiculturalist. His father, a painter, art lover and collector, passed on to him a love of creation.
During his studies, Fanni won several drawing competitions and his adoration for the visual arts was revealed little by little.
After studying tourism, she traveled the world and put creation aside for a while.
In 2018, Fanni felt the need to create again, a desire that never leaves her anymore
Self-taught, his work is rooted in an exploratory ideology and is inspired by his numerous travels around the world.
Fanni mixes collage, digital art, photography, acrylic paint and epoxy resin, resulting in colorful, rich and heterogeneous works, sometimes even revealing a sweet nostalgia.
