Description
This captivating artwork presents a stylized female figure bathed in vibrant shades of blue and black. It is distinguished by its left arm, accentuated in a striking pink, adding a bold and striking touch. The face is mysteriously shadowed, instilling a sense of enigma. The geometric background plays harmoniously with vivid shapes and colors, including bright yellow, deep blue, and a circular white suggesting a moon or sun. The contrast between dark and light elements creates a powerful visual dynamic. Every detail, from the elegant posture to the chromatic choices, reveals an exploration of identity and emotion. The use of color and geometric forms underscores the modernity of the work while inviting introspective contemplation. This piece, both bold and delicate, encapsulates a harmony between the human and the abstract.
Presentation
Skio produced his first graffiti in 1993 in the Nice region. Favoring vandal lettering in his early days, then sliding towards a figurative and romantic universe stemming from his pop and television culture, the artist brings his know-how towards a singular art that mixes geometric shapes and realistic representations.
Questioning our presence in the urban space, he is particularly inspired by the Bauhaus and artists such as Chirico, Magritte and even Dali. Skio has created his own universe by exploiting his experience and his mastery of techniques, including spray paint, brush and airbrush.
