Description
This abstract work dazzles with its remarkable interplay of textures and colors. The canvas is dominated by successive layers of vibrant red that evoke an intense burst of energy. Subtle yet powerful shades of purple and dark blue frame the composition, adding depth and mystery. The structured arrangement of strokes, like interlocking bricks, lends a captivating visual dynamism. Touches of yellow create luminous focal points, breaking with the reddish saturation and introducing a bold chromatic harmony. This painting invites contemplative exploration, oscillating between chaos and cohesion. It evokes profound emotions, offering a space for reflection on the contrasts and interactions of color. A triumph of modern abstraction, this piece is undeniably a visual celebration of color and form.
Presentation
Alain got interested in painting only in his forties. Initially he was interested by figurative painting, and realized his first exhibitions quite quickly.
Finally in 2002, Alain changed gears and turned towards abstraction, a lyrical abstraction mainly inspired by great names of movement. This change has an influence on his manner of painting and technique.
Alain's work around abstraction quickly turned towards the question of light and its reflections. Whether the canvas is monochrome, black or white, the artist is always able to create light. He likes to work on shades, reflections that each color has to offer.
Light is an important part of Alain's paintings, he doesn't stick to only one way of processing but considers it to be an effect, a way to highlight his subject.
Material is a key aspect in Becanne's work, the painter likes to work with layers and thickness, each of his movements is visible, the paint on his canvas portrays image of his trace.
