Description
This striking artwork harmoniously juxtaposes elements of street art and classical design. It features a background adorned with light blue Baroque patterns, reminiscent of wallpaper from a bygone era. Deliberate cracks lacerate the surface, revealing an underlying structure and introducing a dynamic of controlled destruction. From within these cracks, raised roses emerge, symbolizing resilience and enduring beauty. The spray paint, visible at the edges, adds a modern, urban touch, contrasting with the sophisticated patterns. This stylistic collision embodies a dialogue between tradition and modernity, between fragility and robustness. The work engages the viewer, inviting reflection on the notions of preservation and transformation. An innovative masterpiece that defies conventions and celebrates the duality of art in a unique space.
Presentation
Jérémy Ferreira was born in 1989 in St Etienne.
Fan of Pop culture and Street art since adolescence, it is from 2014 that he begins self-taught drawing. He started out by making portraits of his family, friends with pencils and charcoals.
He quickly started painting, trying all kinds of techniques and drawing inspiration from artists such as Kaws, Alec Monopoly, Timmy sneaks…
The common threads of his works are cinema, music and fashion which he represents by combining realism and urban art, by playing with different textures, drips ...
As a child, he drew with pens on movie posters and this is what he wanted to transcribe on his paintings by featuring characters from Pop culture in a Street art background.
