Description
"Spring will come. And the wisteria will blossom again" | Textured Floral Artwork | Violet Blue Pink Wisteria Oil
This painting reflects the quiet certainty of renewal. Wisteria unfolds across the canvas in flowing clusters of violet, blue, and soft pink, suspended in a moment between stillness and movement.
The work is created using a palette knife, allowing the paint to build a rich, tactile surface. Thick, expressive strokes shape the blossoms, while lighter layers suggest air, light, and space. The visible texture emphasizes the physical presence of the flowers and reinforces the idea of growth emerging through time.
Wisteria is chosen as a symbol of return and continuity. Its beauty is not fleeting, but cyclical — guided by natural rhythms rather than force. Beneath the delicate blossoms, the branches quietly hold and support life, reminding us that strength often exists in understated forms.
Spring Will Come. And the Wisteria Will Blossom Again speaks of hope without urgency — a calm belief in renewal, balance, and the enduring generosity of nature.
Presentation
Oksana Evteeva lives and works in Latina. She is the Ambassador of Sicily in Art, a Sicilian artist of Arctic origin whose work blends realism, impressionism, and surrealism, realised through her distinctive technique.
Evteeva has participated in numerous group exhibitions worldwide, including the Bienal de Arte Barcelona at MEAM – Museu Europeu d'Art Modern, and a group show at Palazzo Zenobio during the 58th Venice Biennale. She held a solo exhibition at the independent artist space A Cuccagna in Termini Imerese, Italy.
Her artworks are part of private collections across the EU, Brazil, China, and the USA.
She is currently working on Un si ni pò chiù – No More to Give, a surrealist series born from personal crisis and emotional dislocation, yet deeply rooted in Sicilian identity. The series explores poetic symbolism, psychological depth, and visual tension.
Evteeva's artistic practice is a heartfelt exploration of Sicilian life and philosophy. Drawing from everyday rituals, medieval architecture, and cultural hybridity, her work reflects a deep admiration for Sicily as a place of emotional and spiritual connection. Her visual language bridges philosophical inquiry with intimate observation—engaging themes of personal freedom, cultural memory, and the hidden resonance of domestic landscapes.
She occasionally collaborates with local organisations, including the Fiat 500 Club Catania, in cultural and artistic projects.
