With "Dudus Van Goh", the artist Toctoc transforms a 20€ note into a canvas for raw expression. Here, the money becomes a wall, and the pictorial gesture reasserts itself.
We find Dudus again, a recurring character in the artist's work, a figure both naive and incisive. This time, he appears disguised as a tormented painter, a direct nod to Van Gogh. Hat, red beard, offbeat gaze: a free and urban reinterpretation of the Dutch artist, somewhere between homage and irreverence.
In the background, references collide. Revisited Gothic architecture, vibrant patterns, and a turbulent sky evoke an iconic painting reimagined in a street art style. Shaky lines, bursts of color, and scattered symbols create a constant tension between chaos and narrative.
At the center, a vertical black shape emerges like a fissure — an instinctive, almost violent gesture that disrupts the reading and anchors the work in a raw, spontaneous, uncompromising energy.

Creative and passionate, TocToc is like his characters: funny and endearing.
Born in 1991, TocToc studied applied arts, drawing his inspiration from Tim Burton's films, the pop art works of Keith Haring , Basquiat and the street art of Shepard Fairey ("Obey"). The Duduss, his minimalist-looking figures, appeared on the walls of Paris at the end of 2011. Caricatures of pop culture icons (Michael Jordan Duduss, Tim Burton Duduss, Super-Duduss, Bat-Duduss, Salvador Dali Duduss...) his characters, which he first stuck in the street, ended up appearing in exhibitions, books, comics, animation, etc.
TocToc has exhibited in numerous galleries such as Galerie Sakura, Galerie YAM, and Galerie WAWI. His last solo exhibition was held in 2023 at the Théâtre de l'Européen in Paris.
