Description
This impressive artwork captures the dynamism and energy of sailing at sea. Two majestic sailboats navigate through tumultuous waves, represented by vigorous splashes of blue and white. The background, a gradient of pink and purple, evokes a vibrant, ever-changing sky, underscoring the intensity of the scene. The translucent, almost ethereal sails are enhanced with multicolored touches, adding an almost dreamlike dimension to the whole. The bold interplay of light and shadow accentuates the sensation of movement and speed. This painting captivates with its ability to harmoniously blend the power of nature and the delicacy of sails in action, offering a visual experience that is both dramatic and poetic. A work that immediately draws the eye and evokes adventure.
Presentation
Caroline Degroiselle was born in Paris and very young she moved to Noumea in New Caledonia at the antipodes of France. Immersed in the warmth and vibrant colors of her island and the lagoon, Caroline draws her creative strength, her zest for life, the brightness of her palette, her fiery emotion and her gestural breadth.
Self-taught, this artist has the charm of a freedom that transfigures reality. As she says: "I have no rule for color and light, the sun, water and wind ... they are just the caresses of my heart" In 1984, Caroline offers the Caledonian public her first exhibition at Noumea. Quite quickly art professionals noticed the very personal style of this self-taught painter.
