Description
This captivating work depicts a turbulent sea, where tumultuous waves crash forcefully against jagged rocks. The shades of blue, ranging from vibrant cyan to deep navy, capture the power and majesty of the ocean. Presentation
Caroline Degroiselle was born in Paris and very young she moved to Noumea in New Caledonia at the antipodes of France. Immersed in the warmth and vibrant colors of her island and the lagoon, Caroline draws her creative strength, her zest for life, the brightness of her palette, her fiery emotion and her gestural breadth.
Self-taught, this artist has the charm of a freedom that transfigures reality. As she says: "I have no rule for color and light, the sun, water and wind ... they are just the caresses of my heart" In 1984, Caroline offers the Caledonian public her first exhibition at Noumea. Quite quickly art professionals noticed the very personal style of this self-taught painter.
