Description
Dense, almost telluric forms gradually rise, like fragments of an archaic language. Their massive presence invades the space, imposing the power of black — not only through color, but through the material itself, worked in thickness or transparency, in matte or brilliance.
Faced with this gravity, color insinuates itself as a counterpoint. In subtle glazes, it disrupts the stark contrast between black and white, introducing chromatic interludes: ivory, golden beige, sometimes the sudden burst of orange-red, lemon green, or deep blue. These nuances, sometimes discreet, sometimes commanding, capture the eye and reinvent the balance of the pictorial field. Thus, a tension arises between the precious and the archaic, between brilliance and silence. From this duality emerges a fragile harmony, borne by the light of white, a space of respite, a suspended breath, a memory of emptiness.
Presentation
If painting has never been a choice for me but has emerged as a necessity, it took me a long therapy and a lot of time to accept myself and define myself as an artist.
It was never enough for me to "put on the habit" to stick to the role, the trials that life imposed on me as on everyone, will have made my journey a long and difficult apprenticeship, or only the need has been the driving force, against and against everything that surrounded me, my education and my current possibilities.
The fight is my dynamic, and today it allows me to never again question what I am made for, going beyond any common reason.
