Description
Balances
Dense, almost telluric forms rise little by little, like fragments of an archaic language. Their massive presence invades the space, imposing the power of black — not only through the color, but through the very material, worked in thickness or transparency, in dullness or brilliance.
Faced with this gravity, color insinuates itself in counterpoint. In subtle glazes, it comes to disturb the face-to-face of white and black, introducing chromatic breaths: ivory, golden beige, sometimes the eruption of an orange-red, a lemon-green or a deep blue. These nuances, sometimes discreet, sometimes imperative, capture the gaze and reinvent the balance of the pictorial field. Thus a tension is established between the precious and the archaic, between the flash and the silence. From this duality arises a fragile harmony, carried by the light of white, space of respite, suspended breath, memory of the void.
Presentation
If painting has never been a choice for me but has emerged as a necessity, it took me a long therapy and a lot of time to accept myself and define myself as an artist.
It was never enough for me to "put on the habit" to stick to the role, the trials that life imposed on me as on everyone, will have made my journey a long and difficult apprenticeship, or only the need has been the driving force, against and against everything that surrounded me, my education and my current possibilities.
The fight is my dynamic, and today it allows me to never again question what I am made for, going beyond any common reason.
