Description
This artwork presents a striking abstract composition characterized by its bold use of shapes and colors. Dominating the canvas is a large, textured pink polygon that captures immediate attention with its irregular form and subtle tonal variations. Adjacent, a curved black line meanders purposefully, adding a sense of movement and contrast against the muted maroon background. Two parallel yellow-green spheres are connected by a wavy orange line, injecting a playful dynamic into the piece. A small blue-gray "X" marks an intriguing accent, inviting contemplation. The green band at the bottom anchors the composition, providing balance. This artwork's unique interplay of geometric elements and vibrant hues challenges traditional forms, encouraging viewers to explore its depth and complexity.
Derivas sobre fondo brings together a series of compositions in which form does not impose itself on space, but rather traverses it. Lines, planes, and marks appear as records of a movement without destination, straining the relationship between surface and gesture. The background does not function as a passive support, but rather as an active field that absorbs, deflects, and shapes each action. From Derivas sobre fondo series (Drift on the background series). Mixed media (acrylic and spray paint on canvas). Signed back by the artist.
