Description
An explosion of joy suspended in time.
On the canvas, the flowers don't just bloom—they burst forth. They overflow, explode, and break free from all restraint. The petals, suggested by imperfect loops and circles, dance in a whirlwind of vibrant colors: soft pink, incandescent orange, sunny yellow, touches of green and blue that refresh the whole like a breath of fresh air in the heart of summer.
The material seems to be in constant motion. The splashes, projected spontaneously, capture the moment of the gesture, almost like a frozen choreography. Then come these long, vertical, almost liquid drips that pull the composition downwards—as if the color, too vibrant, could not stay in place and sought to escape.
The whole evokes a free-spirited, unruly bouquet, where each flower asserts its existence in joyful chaos. It is a celebration of life, raw energy, and imperfect beauty. A work that is not merely looked at—it is felt, like a colorful vibration that pulses gently beneath the surface.
Presentation
Isabelle Pelletane is a painter born in 1969 in the Paris region. She now lives and works in Poitou-Charentes, where she develops an artistic practice deeply rooted in color, gesture and emotion.
Art has been a part of Isabelle Pelletane's life since childhood. After studying psychology, she spent several years living abroad. These travel experiences profoundly shaped her artistic sensibility: the landscapes, light, and color palettes she encountered during her travels nourished her imagination and influenced her pictorial language.
Upon returning to France, she embarked on a genuine artistic exploration of the relationship between human beings and their natural environment. Through her works, she explores this interaction with an instinctive and sensitive approach.
Her spontaneous and vibrant painting is characterized by free and dynamic gestures. Isabelle Pelletane works with her materials with energy, allowing compositions to emerge where colors and movements converse in a resolutely positive expression. Her paintings often evoke a luminous and optimistic vision of the world, like a celebration of life and love.
Rooted in an approach akin to abstract expressionism, her work is constantly evolving, driven by intuitive research and a great freedom of execution.
Isabelle Pelletane has presented her work at numerous exhibitions in France and internationally. Her works are now featured in several private collections in France and abroad.
