Description
This painting dazzles with its bold and contrasting color palette, dominated by vibrant red, framing an intimate scene. A sculptural, nude, pink figure sits on a pedestal to the right, adding a sensual dimension to the work. To the left, a draped white figure appears to observe the scene, creating an enigmatic tension. The vivid blue floor accentuates the elements, while the table in the foreground displays green pears, a glass of wine, and a carafe, evoking a classic still life. The background, with stairs and doorways, suggests a domestic space rich in hidden stories. This painting skillfully balances realism and abstraction, offering an open yet deeply symbolic interpretation of inner life.
Presentation
After graduating with a baccalaureate in Fine Arts and studying art history, Pascal Perrin enrolled at the École nationale supérieure des arts appliqués et des métiers d'art-Olivier de Serres and became a mold maker and sculptor at the Airaind'art foundry in Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse. His work focused on molding and enlarging sculptures.
In 1994, he completed a course in fresco restoration in Upper Corsica and Italy.
In 1997, he joined the Wildenstein Institute to contribute to the creation of the catalogue raisonné of Vlaminck, followed by those of Renoir and Monet.
