Oil painting In October Vladimir Batrakov captures the rich atmosphere of autumn, where vibrant foliage reflects in calm water under a clear sky. The composition is filled with warmth and depth, as golden yellows, soft reds, and muted greens blend into a harmonious seasonal landscape that evokes quiet contemplation. Batrakov's mastery is evident in his expressive impasto technique and confident handling of color. Thick, dynamic brushstrokes create texture and movement, especially in the shimmering reflections and layered trees. His ability to balance bold color accents with subtle tonal transitions demonstrates refined artistic control and a strong plein air tradition. This original oil painting is perfect for collectors seeking impressionist landscapes, autumn scenery, and authentic handmade artwork that highlights professional craftsmanship and timeless natural beauty.
Presentation
Vladimir Batrakov (born November 9, 1956, Lviv) is a distinguished Ukrainian painter and graphic artist whose works captivate with their vibrant color, expressive brushwork, and deep sensitivity to nature. A graduate of the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1979), he studied under renowned masters I. Bodnar, V. Manastyrsky, and I. Zavadovsky, which laid a strong academic foundation for his artistic language.
Batrakov’s paintings are immediately recognizable for their dynamic, textured surfaces and rich painterly technique. Working with confident, almost sculptural brushstrokes, he builds compositions that feel alive with movement and light. His landscapes — whether intimate riverbanks, sunlit fields, or coastal scenes — are not merely depictions of place, but emotional interpretations of nature. Color plays a central role in his work: bold yet harmonious, it creates atmosphere, depth, and a strong visual rhythm.
There is a sense of freedom and immediacy in his technique, reminiscent of post-impressionist traditions, yet deeply rooted in the Ukrainian landscape school. His works balance spontaneity with structure, where each stroke contributes to a unified, expressive whole. This combination of академическая база и живописная смелость делает его работы особенно привлекательными для коллекционеров.
Since 1983, Batrakov has actively participated in exhibitions, including national and international shows, and has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1992. His works continue to attract attention for their authenticity, emotional depth, and timeless painterly quality, making them valuable additions to both private and institutional collections.
