Fly Over Wide Fields

This work is far more than a painting; it is an object filled with history, tactility, and presence.
Hand-painted on an original antique folding shaving mirror, it merges art, design, and memory into a truly unique collector's piece. The mirror can be hung on a wall, displayed standing upright, or presented partially folded, allowing the artwork to constantly shift depending on perspective and light. Even when closed, it possesses an extraordinary aura: the aged leather cover bears the marks of decades gone by, its surface telling stories of time, use, and character. A red wax seal bearing the signature of Tizlu adorns the front, transforming the object into something almost like a hidden artifact — intimate, precious, and utterly unique.

This is not a work meant only to be observed from a distance. It can be held in the hands, its worn leather surface touched and experienced physically. That is precisely where its magic lies: it exists somewhere between artwork, memory object, and personal treasure.

For collectors of Tizlu's work, this piece is an absolute one-of-a-kind and an extraordinary fragment of contemporary art history. Because of the historic folding shaving mirror used as its foundation, this artwork exists only once in the world — impossible to reproduce or recreate. Every scratch in the leather, every trace of patina, every imperfection, and every hand-painted layer becomes part of its identity, giving the piece a soul and story entirely its own.

The unusual surface of the antique shaving mirror creates a fascinating dialogue between past and present. Every mark and every sign of age becomes part of the final composition, making the artwork completely irreproducible. No print, no silkscreen, no digital reproduction — only pure hand-painted original art with depth, texture, and physical presence.

Inside unfolds a poetic scene filled with freedom, movement, and youthful longing.
At the center of the composition stands a boy with outstretched arms resembling the wings of an airplane, floating weightlessly above vast open landscapes. His posture captures pure freedom, youthful courage, and the desire to escape limitations and expectations. Beneath him, wide fields stretch endlessly into the distance, symbolizing peace, openness, and limitless possibility.

Fragments of vintage newspapers and magazines from the 1980s run throughout the piece like echoes of forgotten memories. Drawings, words, and graphic elements merge with luminous yellows, blues, and oranges to create a dreamlike composition filled with nostalgia and energy. The colors feel warm, optimistic, and alive — like an endless summer day suspended somewhere between memory and imagination.
