Description
I spotted the car at the LeMans race circuit. This 1955 Jaguar D Type is exactly the model which won the LeMans 24-hour race in 1955 driven by Mike Hawthorn, I cannot be certain that it was this actual car although it was signed with his name. I can add this to the painting if required. This large painting is acrylic paint on stretched canvas, with a lot of airbrushing used to create it. Approx 36" x 29".
Presentation
The principal subject of my artwork is classic cars, I have been producing artwork for 30 years, but I have found myself a niche market which reflects my interest in these beautiful vehicles. I devote a lot of time to sourcing the right kind of car for my subjects, these are all hand drawn and based on my own reference photographs. Each drawing takes about 20 hours to complete, and new ones are constantly being completed, a few of which are shown here.
I usually work in pencil or Caran D'ache colour pencil, usually on Daler acid free cartridge paper, sometimes on heavier and slightly textured water colour paper.
I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I did preparing them, please message me if you have any requirements which aren't shown here, I have many more available and about to be drawn.
PLEASE NOTE; I prefer to use La Poste Colissimo tracked and signed service.
Education:
I gained a HND ( Higher National Diploma ) in Illustration at Portsmouth College of Art, England
