Description
It is a formal structure with a pronounced verticality, with planes that render it static; however, to enrich the image, there are inclined planes that cut across it. The tonal range is predominantly cool, developed with bluish-green, white, and highly nuanced colors, with overlapping brushstrokes that bring tonal richness to the work. It is very luminous in the central area of the surface—that light which so strongly stimulates the human spirit, lifting it to other, more magical states that enrich it.
Light always draws us in. In all my works, light holds a fundamental place: I associate it with life, with daytime, with everything positive, with the best in myself and in others, with the drive and development of scientific, technical, and artistic activity that leads us to discover, create, and discern. It is connected to everything positive that happens to us in life. That is why light is a fundamental element in my artistic practice and is present in all my works.
Presentation
Delia Solari is an Argentine painter, who worked on Neo Geometric Figuration and is now dedicated to Geometric Abstraction, with her own style that she called "Sensitive Planimetric Structuralism", whose development is explained in the book of her authorship "ESTETIC STATEMENTS".
She studied drawing, painting and composition with Mari Lagsner, Alfredo De Vicenzo, Marta Lozano, Julio Giustozzi and Juan Carlos Chasco Ross, History of Art with Jorge López Anaya and Theory and Philosophy of Art with Fermín Fevre.
She made Exhibitions in Galleries and Museums all over the world.
The French critic Ionel Jianou commented on her work “What richness and variety in the topics covered! From the most ingenious combinations of geometric figures to the relationship between music and painting, from the problems of light to the resonance and harmony of colors, from the tenderness and sensitive aspect of images to the vision of a movement cosmic, everything has been dealt with intelligence, strength and fervor in Delia Solari's dialogue with the Universe ".
