Bachata of Shadows — Through the Forest Light, 2023

Elena Khokhryakova

This forest is right across the street from my house.
It is incredibly beautiful and at the same time always different.
I am inspired by the natural forms of nature, the plasticity of the curves of roads and branches, the lines of crowns and clouds, the trembling of the air in the morning fog and the gentle transitions of stunning shades of sunset, the shadows of graceful trees and the play of light shades.
I am inspired by the opportunity to freeze in delight from some incredible moment in the space created by the Creator, when light, color, shapes and grace of lines merge together in a single chord, and then transfer this plot to the canvas in a stream of inspiration, as if preserving it in matter.
