Description
The face emerges softly from shimmering water. The closed eyes suggest a state of deep contemplation. A rain of droplets seems suspended in the air, capturing a moment of absolute serenity.
The acrylic technique allows for a bold play of colors here. Shades of green, blue, and orange blend to sculpt the model's features. Light passes through the composition, creating a marked contrast between shadow and clarity.
This portrait is part of a contemporary figurative approach. The artist explores inner states through an expressionist approach. The material is worked to translate a sensation of fluidity and lightness.
The gaze falls on the fragility of a suspended moment. The composition favors raw emotion and the tactile sensation of water on the skin. Each touch of color emphasizes the duality between the real world and the dream.
The work stands out for its contrasting palette and anatomical precision. The vegetal and aquatic background envelops the subject in a dreamlike atmosphere. The final rendering highlights the transparency of the water droplets.
Presentation
INLA is a painter based in the Grenoble region.
She develops a work centered on portraiture and the exploration of human emotions.
Her work is situated at the border between contemporary figurative expressionism and pop expressionism.
Mainly realized in acrylic, her paintings are distinguished by a vibrant and contrasting color palette. The faces she represents express inner states: melancholy, daydreaming, resilience, or light.
Each portrait becomes an intimate encounter with the model's gaze. The plays of textures and colors translate the dualities of the human experience: strength and fragility, light and darkness.
Self-taught artist, INLA has been painting for over 30 years.
She has enriched her practice through participation in numerous painting workshops and art courses at the Beaux-Arts of Grenoble (courses for adults).
For over 15 years, she has also led painting classes in her studio in Gières, where she transmits her passion for artistic creation and supports amateurs and enthusiasts in their pictorial approach.
Her work is part of an artistic research focused on emotional expression through contemporary portraiture.
