Presentation
Yann Vicente (born 1980) is a contemporary artist working within lyrical abstraction.
His painting arises from an inner necessity and takes shape in a space where words fall silent.
Matter — paint, pigments, plaster, minerals, wood, mirrors — is approached as a living presence, with which he engages in a sensitive dialogue.
Guided by emotion rather than control, his gesture explores the interplay between density, transparency, and light.
Selected for Lille Art Up! 2025 early in his career, Yann asserts a visual language shaped by an experimental approach to materials and supports, where the alchemy of reactions and transformations plays a central role.
His work opens a space of inner resonance, in which the viewer's perception completes the creative process.
