Description
As the second piece in Stoz's exclusive , this artwork introduces a dual-figure composition, launching a psychological and geometric inquiry into relationships, space, and human disconnect.
Through a strict zenithal (aerial) perspective, two 3D micro-figures in 1:87 scale (the iconic Umarell)—one finished in orange and the other in vibrant green—are anchored at opposite poles of a deep black panel. Emanating precisely from each character's feet is a monumental beam of white light, applied with a palette knife to create a rich, tactile impasto. The two light cones stretch in opposite directions, running perfectly parallel without ever intersecting, creating an unstable yet incredibly elegant symmetry.
The piece beautifully visualizes the sociological concept of "the necessary distance": two onlookers close in physical space but bound to completely divergent trajectories. The powerful contrast between the ultra-matte black background, the chalky texture of the white beams, and the glossy micro-pops of color from the 3D miniatures dynamically interacts with ambient room light.

Presentation
Born in Milan in 1998, Marco Stazzini — known as Stoz — has developed one of the most visually distinct voices to emerge from Italy'scontemporary art scene in recent years. Trained at the Brera Academy, he brings an unusual combination to his practice: the raw energy of street art culture and the compositional discipline of formal fine art education. The result is a body of work that feels both immediate and considered.
Color is the foundation of everything Stoz makes. Bold gradients move across his canvases with a tension that is hard to ignore — layered, saturated, and emotionally loaded. His paintings carry a sense of depth that rewards extended looking, shifting between graphic clarity and painterly complexity depending on how closely you engage with them. Each work has presence. Each one holds a room.
His practice extends beyond painting into sculpture, where he applies the same chromatic intensity and urban sensibility to three-dimensional form. Female figures, abstracted and adorned with intricate surface patterns, extend his visual language into physical space, creating a dialogue between canvas and object that strengthens the coherence of his overall output.
