Rosone, 2026

David Pompili

This vibrant composition merges painting and sculpture into a singular, energetic experience. A bold yellow semi-circle dominates the foreground. It curves like a theatrical stage or a giant vinyl record. Hand-painted red lettering announces a theatrical connection. Small figurines scale this yellow ridge. They create a sense of miniature drama and movement.
The background erupts in a clash of styles. Graphic shapes meet expressive lines. A portrait of a man watches from the right. He is rendered with a touch of realism amidst a sea of abstraction. Primary colors collide with deep blacks. The artist plays with layers and depth. A dark, visceral drip descends from the yellow form. It adds a raw, organic tension to the structured geometry. This artwork explores the intersection of performance and visual art. It captures the chaotic spirit of the stage. Every element feels deliberate yet spontaneous. The piece balances playful figures with a sophisticated understanding of space. It remains a study in contrast between flat surfaces and three-dimensional relief.
