Description
A luminous profile emerges from a swirling vortex of color. This mixed media painting blends delicate realism with a dreamlike atmosphere. A pale woman rests in a state of serene contemplation. Her closed eyes suggest an inner journey. Around her, an organic headdress unfolds like a celestial nebula. Deep blues and iridescent greens merge into fluid, rhythmic shapes. These forms evoke both floral blooms and cosmic clouds.
The circular format enhances the feeling of a mystical portal. Gold leaf accents the outer edges, adding a timeless, sacred quality to the composition. Fine lines and soft gradients create a sense of depth and movement. The artist employs a fantastic style to explore the boundary between the physical and the spiritual. Intricate patterns adorn the figure's garment, echoing the complexity of the surrounding aura. Every brushstroke contributes to a feeling of weightless suspension. The artwork balances a cool color palette with the warmth of metallic gold. It captures a moment of profound stillness within a chaotic, imaginative universe. The composition focuses on the harmony between the human form and the surreal elements of nature.
Presentation
Yana is an Israeli artist born in Leningrad, Russia. She holds an M.A. in Conflict Management, Resolution, and Negotiation at Bar-Ilan University. Currently, she is participating in the Studio 18 Residency Program for Independent Artists with the Petach Tikva Museum of Art. For Yana, art is an intuitive exploration. Through her work, she delves into the complexities of the human soul, creating a space for viewers to connect with their inner worlds.
She says: “I see the world as chaos - a dark space filled with loneliness. Yet, I fiercely believe in the human spirit and the force of life. I search for my path within the chaos, for structure—this is how I paint. I seek to connect with the most sensitive places of the soul, in the spaces between dreams, madness, and reality, to show people they are not alone in their loneliness. I want to be like Meir Ariel, who connects primal urges, the sacred, and the profane, weaving them seamlessly on the edge of madness. The honest, raw power of his songs is the voice I seek in art. A non-linear narrative, prevailing over fear."
