Almost kiss, 2026

Yana Gorelik

A surreal vision unfolds through delicate watercolor washes. A pale feminine figure emerges from a dreamlike aquatic realm. She exists in a symbiotic embrace with organic forms. A massive nautilus shell curls around her head like a protective crown. Its spiral geometry echoes the curves of her silhouette. Soft hues of iridescent blue and muted green create a subterranean atmosphere. The composition flows with a rhythmic, liquid grace. Fine lines define her serene expression and gentle gaze. Below, another spiral shell anchors the scene. This repetition suggests a cycle of growth and eternal return. The translucent layers of pigment evoke the shimmering quality of water. Light filters through the composition with a soft, ethereal glow. The artist blends human anatomy with marine architecture. This fusion creates a poetic meditation on nature and identity. Every brushstroke emphasizes a sense of fragility and timelessness. The background remains atmospheric and void of horizon. This focuses all attention on the central metamorphosis. The artwork concludes with a subtle play of shadows within the shell's depths.
