Description
This figurative composition explores silence and lightness. A paper airplane seems to float in an undefined space. The subject captures a moment of suspension. The color palette favors neutral and soothing tones.
The work on light creates a striking relief. The pure white of the object stands out precisely against a pearl gray background. Each fold of the paper is rendered with exemplary technical rigor. The cast shadow brings a subtle depth to the scene.
The artist uses oil paint to achieve a smooth and homogeneous rendering. The balance of masses invites contemplation and calm. This piece plays on simplicity to evoke nostalgia or imaginary travel. The canvas painting is presented in a deep white frame which accentuates the box effect and the isolation of the subject. The work dates from 2016.
