The Strength of Tenderness, 2026

Natalia Yangalycheva

Presentation: Stretched on a wooden stretcher, ready to hang.

This work reflects on a quiet yet profound kind of strength—one that is born not from competition or power, but from care, trust, and the willingness to support one another. The artist presents the family as a place where love is expressed through everyday actions rather than grand declarations, revealing that true resilience is built through compassion, protection, and unconditional acceptance.

The painting explores the idea of unity without the loss of individuality. Each person retains their own identity while becoming part of something greater than themselves. Real strength emerges when we know we are not alone—when there are people who share our burdens, celebrate our achievements, and offer support through every stage of life. It is these relationships that give us the confidence to grow and face the future with hope.

The work invites viewers to reflect on the belief that the strongest bonds are built on mutual respect, trust, and kindness. Love expressed through presence and care possesses a remarkable power—it connects, heals, and reminds us that our greatest strength is found in one another.
