Description
One Last Lace captures a quiet, intimate moment suspended between stillness and movement. A seated female figure bends to tie her shoe — an ordinary gesture transformed into a moment of presence, anticipation and subtle self-reflection.
The composition brings together soft figurative forms, bold stripes and a graphic geometric floor, creating a distinctive dialogue between contemporary figurative painting and modern design. Muted green, coral pink and vibrant violet introduce playful contrasts while maintaining a warm, sophisticated visual balance.
The artwork is painted with oil paints on jute, a natural woven fibre traditionally valued for its raw texture and organic character. Unlike conventional smooth canvas, jute has a more pronounced weave and tactile surface, allowing the material itself to become part of the painting. Its natural irregularities give the work additional depth and emphasise its handmade, one-of-a-kind quality.
One Last Lace is an original contemporary artwork, combining figurative storytelling with a modern, design-conscious aesthetic. Both playful and contemplative, it is created to become a distinctive focal point in a contemporary interior.

Presentation
Erika is a contemporary painter working primarily in oil and acrylic on canvas. Her work moves between abstraction and stylized figuration, combining expressive painterly gestures with controlled composition. Erika's artistic language is defined by bold color contrasts, confident structure, and a refined modern aesthetic that integrates seamlessly into contemporary interiors.
Through her oil and acrylic paintings, Erika explores the human figure, fragmentation of form, and emotional body language. She often employs saturated tones such as vibrant orange, deep red, turquoise, and strong black-and-white contrasts. The interplay between the richness of oil paint and the clarity of acrylic allows her to create layered surfaces, subtle texture variations, and dynamic visual depth.
