Short Concept

Elena Russkikh's work explores inner stillness and presence through figurative, abstract, and landscape painting. Using simplified forms, restrained palettes, and tactile surfaces, she creates quiet visual spaces for reflection. Her works function as meditative environments, bringing a sense of balance, softness, and calm into contemporary interiors.

Concept of Artistic Practice

Elena Russkikh's work explores the state of inner stillness and presence — a quiet moment of being alone with oneself.

Across figurative, abstract, and landscape painting, she creates visual spaces of pause, where time slows down and attention turns inward. Her naive-style figures, textured abstractions, and semi-abstract landscapes are united by a shared intention: to translate subtle emotional states into simple, clear visual forms.

In figurative works, the female image becomes a carrier of introspection and silent dialogue. In abstract compositions, layered textures and light-centered structures evoke an inner core — a point of balance, transition, and quiet strength. Landscapes extend this experience into space, reflecting harmony and contemplative calm.

Working with restrained palettes, tactile surfaces, and minimal compositions, the artist builds an atmosphere rather than a narrative. Her paintings function as meditative environments — bringing softness, balance, and a sense of inner alignment into contemporary interiors.
