Description
The intensity strikes at first glance.
This animal portrait captures the raw essence of nature through a tight and frontal framing.
The acrylic work emphasizes every detail of the fur with remarkable precision.
The shades of gray and brown blend to create a striking relief.
The expression is marked by visible fangs and a piercing golden gaze.
The artist plays with contrasts to infuse a fantastic dimension into the animal.
The neutral and dark background accentuates the physical presence of the subject.
This composition relies on a strong symmetry that reinforces the visual impact.
The mastered technique brings to life a creature whose open mouth seems to emerge from the support.
The final rendering favors a realism accentuated by precise touches of light on the snout.
Presentation
After training as a scenographer at the Arts Décoratifs in Paris and working in live performance, Muriel Andrin turned to decorative painting, and more specifically to trompe l'oeil. She has created sets and frescoes for various clients, both individuals and companies. For several years, she has been painting costumed animals, like portraits of family characters, in warm and contrasting colors. Her characters each have their own story and their gaze reveals their emotions.
