Description
Where My Grandmother's Roses Bloom is a new edition by artist Mojé Assefjah from 2026. The work is created using a two-plate intaglio print with carborundum. Each sheet is subsequently individually hand-painted by the artist with egg tempera, giving every work its own character and coloring.
The motif recalls her grandmother's garden, merging personal memory with an atmospheric, almost dreamlike visual world. Assefjah works with transparent color spaces, soft transitions, and gestural lines reminiscent of calligraphic movement. The egg tempera technique lends the images a matte depth and a distinctive glow.
This work is number 22 of a total edition of 30. As each sheet is individually hand-painted by the artist, this print is a unique variant within the edition.
