Description
A coastal scene opens under a changing sky. Cottony clouds filter a soft light on the horizon. In the center, a sailboat with brown sails dominates the composition. Its architecture evokes ancient maritime traditions.
The gaze descends to the sandy shore. Two horses pull a heavy cart. Human silhouettes accompany the transport. The water reflects the blue of the sky and the ochre tones of the beach.
The painter uses precise touches to render the texture of the sand and the light foam. The palette favors natural and soothing tones. The perspective guides the viewer toward the open sea, creating a sense of space.
The treatment of the light emphasizes the calm of this working day. Each detail reinforces the authenticity of the landscape. The composition balances the verticality of the mast and the horizontality of the coastline. The painting is presented in a classic frame with neutral tones.

Hendrik Vader developed a figurative style marked by the representation of fishing boats, beaches, and lively scenes by the sea, often with particular attention to detail and natural light (VADER Hendrik, "Fishing boats stranded on the beach", oil on canvas, 80x120 cm).
