Description
The oil unfolds here like a breath. The material fades to make way for a diffused light. A deep sky, with stormy hues, looms over an indistinct nature. The gaze travels between vaporous foliage and flashes of white.
The artist explores inner landscapes. She does not seek the faithful reproduction of reality. She favors atmosphere and feeling. The pigments blend in a play of transparencies. The composition invites contemplation.
The brush suggests organic forms. The tender green responds to the bluish-gray of the horizon. Time seems suspended in this abstract setting. A sense of calm settles in.
This figurative painting plays on the contrast between shadow and clarity. The oil technique allows for soft transitions. A fusion between earth and air is perceived. The whole stabilizes on a rocky and dark ground.
Presentation
Born between Switzerland, Germany and Austria, in a family of musicians, Jane studies the cello but draws and paints since childhood, already fascinated by light.
At the age of twenty, she moved to Paris and became an illustrator then artistic director. For twenty-five years, she created visual universes for major luxury houses and worked as a matte painter, between painting and photography.
With the arrival of artificial intelligence, she feels the need to rediscover an embodied creation: matter, the slowness of movement, pigments. She is now dedicated to oil painting.
His works do not represent specific places, but interior landscapes where foliage, clouds and light blend into each other. Painting, for her, is to find this childhood state where time disappears—an invitation to slow down and leave a place to silence.
