Biography
Christian Büffel is a German artist renowned for his powerful abstract paintings. Drawing on the traditions of Art Informel and Abstract Expressionism, he has developed a unique contemporary visual language. Through gestural brushstrokes, dense layers of paint, and a strong materiality, he creates dynamic compositions that invite the viewer to explore their own associations and emotions. Büffel lives and works in Germany and uses a variety of materials for an intuitive and methodical approach to the canvas.
