Description
S1859
Oil painting Feeding Chickens in the Village Victor Konotopsky is a lively rural composition that captures the warmth and simplicity of everyday countryside life. The scene depicts villagers tending to chickens in a sunlit yard, surrounded by lush greenery and soft summer light. Konotopsky demonstrates impressive artistic mastery through confident brushwork, expressive color, and a strong sense of composition. Fresh greens, whites, lilacs, pinks, and earthy browns are skillfully balanced to create a bright, harmonious atmosphere. The artist simplifies forms without losing character, using loose, energetic strokes to convey movement in the figures, birds, grass, and surrounding vegetation. Subtle contrasts between light clothing and darker foliage create depth and guide the viewer naturally through the scene. The painting feels spontaneous yet carefully structured, transforming an ordinary village moment into a vivid artistic story. This original oil painting is an excellent choice for collectors of rural landscapes, village scenes, figurative art, farm life paintings, contemporary impressionism, and distinctive modern fine art.
Presentation
Viktor Konotopsky was born in 1967 in the village of Maleshkovka, Nedrigailovsky district, Sumy region.
Graduated from the Kharkiv State Art School and the Faculty of Arts of the Saratov State Pedagogical University named after Makarenko.
Worked as a drawing and drafting teacher, and an artist in the advertising field.
In the 90s, he lived and worked in Poland (Krakow and Szczecin) and St. Petersburg.
Viktor had many temptations to catch some fashionable artistic disease, but he remained himself.
Judging his painting by the standards of world artistic fashion is as absurd as declaring love with the memorized words of a popular literary hero. In this sense, it is naive, but the naivety of a professionally educated person. His paintings are realistic, although stylized. The landscapes are easily recognizable, but they contain a generalization leading to an image.
