Hanky panky girls, 2000

A provocative gaze immediately attracts attention. The black line, sharp and assured, defines a hybrid silhouette between cartoon and graffiti. This female figure stands out with saturated colors. The bright pink of the costume contrasts with the sunny yellow of a sculpted hairstyle.

The artist plays with the codes of popular culture. The character, wearing dynamic pigtails, holds a whip with cold confidence. The white background, marked by orange streaks and touches of green, evokes the wall of a street. The aesthetic recalls the urban energy and spontaneity of street art.

The composition is rhythmized by handwritten inscriptions. The mention of Toulouse anchors the creation in a specific geographical space. The work on textures, particularly the grid of the boots, brings remarkable graphic precision. Each line emphasizes a subversive and modern intention. The whole presents itself as a dialogue between academic art and the free expression of the asphalt. The pigments intertwine to create a marked visual contrast on the support.

Some restorations to be planned
