Description
This painting is a dramatic still life where the contrast of light and darkness plays a key role. Set against a deep black background, it depicts bright yellow tangerines encased in a translucent black bag with flecks of gold leaf. The highlights on the bag and the reflection on the turquoise surface create a sense of depth and mystery.
I was inspired by the fleeting beauty of ordinary objects and how light transforms them. This contrast is like an attempt to find bright colors and "golden" moments even in dark times, turning a simple purchase into an art object. Executed in acrylic on canvas.

Olena KLYMENKO is a Ukrainian painter, born in kyiv in 1969 - After graduating from high school, Olena KLYMENKO entered the Kiev Institute of Light Industry to specialize in fashion design, but she did not never practiced in this profession - She started painting in 2015 - In her work, she uses various materials as unexpected as newspapers or even packaging boxes - She creates her works using oil or acrylic paint , but also watercolor, pencils or any other artistic material. She has her own unique style and establishes herself through the painting of still lifes on newspaper - The artist often participates in art exhibitions - In 2024, we can cite a personal exhibition: Beyond the canvas, innovative fusion", and a collective exhibition "Artistic horizons: a panorama of Ukrainian talent".
