Presentation
Luc Mora, born in 1959, is a French painter whose atypical path brings science and creation into dialogue. Originating from the Landes, he first pursued a career as a nuclear engineer, a universe founded on rigor, precision, and technical mastery. After more than twenty years in this field, he decided at the age of 55 to dedicate himself entirely to painting, transforming a passion long kept in reserve into a true artistic vocation. Self-taught, he first explored watercolor and impressionism before developing a more personal pictorial language, centered on abstract expressionism, where the spontaneity of the gesture and the power of color become the main vectors of emotion.
Luc Mora's work rests on three fundamental pillars: Expressionism, Color, and Emotion. His abstract compositions, mainly created in acrylic on canvas, are characterized by a free gestural quality, intense chromatic contrasts, and a permanent search for visual vibration. For the artist, color constitutes a true universal language, capable of transmitting emotions without resorting to figurative representation. Each canvas becomes a space of exploration where intuition, energy, and sensitivity meet to create an immersive and contemplative experience.
Coming from a family environment deeply marked by creation — his father was a painter and his mother a stylist — Luc Mora has nurtured an artistic sensitivity since childhood that only fully expresses itself several decades later. His journey demonstrates that creation can emerge at any point in life and that the experiences acquired in a scientific universe can enrich an artistic approach based on freedom, emotion, and intuition. His work is part of the continuity of contemporary abstraction and expressionism, while maintaining a singular identity where color becomes the main subject of the work.
Since his beginnings, Luc Mora has exhibited his works at exhibitions and artistic events in France and internationally, notably in Paris, Barcelona, London, and Zurich. New exhibition projects are also announced in Nantes, Luxembourg, and Brussels, testifying to the development of his career on the European artistic scene.
