Description
The artwork here, "Enigmatic Masquerade", is a wonderful depiction of the profile of a Harlequin, that is saturated with acute detail and vibrant color throughout, making it one of the nicest paintings by Manoukian we have ever made available. Also, measuring approximately 18" x 15" and 35" x 32" with the high-quality, custom frame, the immaculate artwork is of impressive craftsmanship and size. Finally, it has remained in excellent condition since being completed by Manoukian, is signed in the lower center, and comes with a Gallery Letter of Authenticity.
This bold Acrylic painting on board by Manoukian that was initially purchased from Princess Cruises Line (reference #B18291), and currently retails for significantly more than our asking price. Martiros Manoukian is forever famous for the brilliant color, exquisite detail, passionate expression and many other traits that his artworks exhibit. Additionally, of all his masterpieces, often the most desired images are dynamic portrait scenes. Like the one here, which gives the viewer captivating insight into Manoukian's full realm of fascinating genius as it combines his most coveted subjects and finest talents.
Martiros Manoukian's art has been exhibited in major museums, and can be found in some of the most prestigious public and private collections across the globe. Now, this authentic work can be part of yours as it will be professionally packaged to ship domestically or internationally. Therefore, please contact us if you have any questions and do not forget to submit your offer.
Every item comes with free custom framing. We have wood frames with gold, silver, black, or brown finishes to offer you. Please note that in order to preserve the quality of the artwork and condition of the frame, most items are framed at the time of purchase. Due to issues within the supply chain and delays with framing products availability, the frame you see pictured might not be currently available. If we do not hear from you regarding your framing options we will do our best to frame it in a similar style and color.
Presentation
MARTIROS MANOUKIAN (1947 - ): Martiros Manoukian is an Armenian-American contemporary painter known for his distinctive mixed-media works combining realism, Impressionism, abstraction, and fantasy. Born in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1947, Manoukian began painting seriously at age 11 and entered the Academy of Art in Yerevan in 1967. He also studied at academies in Moscow and Leningrad before completing his studies in Yerevan in 1972. At just 26, he became a member of the Union of Soviet Artists and exhibited widely throughout the Soviet Union. In 1987, Manoukian emigrated to the United States, where his artistic style underwent a significant transformation. He developed a personal approach he called Marmillism, combining watercolor, acrylic, oil, and mixed metals, including gold and platinum, often on fabric. His subjects include women, portraits, landscapes, flowers, and abstract compositions, characterized by luminous color, layered textures, and a strong sense of movement. Manoukian has exhibited internationally in Europe, Asia, Russia, and the United States, and his work is held in private and public collections worldwide.
