Description
An intense blue gaze captivates the viewer. The face, with fine features, emerges from a deep blue background. A golden halo highlights the composition and brings a sacred dimension.
The work on the skin mixes precision and abstraction. Vertical streaks cross the portrait, suggesting a silent melancholy. The contrast between the softness of the lips and the roughness of the pictorial features creates a visual tension.
The brown hair flows into soft curls. It frames the face with an organic fluidity. The artist uses touches of red and orange to warm the complexion and energize the space.
The use of acrylic paint allows for varied material plays. The background presents rich, almost tactile textures. The light seems to come from within the subject, accentuating the brilliance of the eyes. The whole rests on a fragile balance between realism and expressionism. The brushwork becomes freer on the edges of the canvas, leaving room for effects of transparency and pigment projections.
