Description
The concept of the metamorphosis of space and man is at the heart of the composition.
In the very center of the composition, a pure white spot stands out, forming the silhouette of a classic house with arched windows and an entrance. The steps leading to it create a spatial perspective and ground the abstract mass.
Around the house, like a layering of memories or thoughts, a chaotic weave of black lines unfolds. They form a kaleidoscope of human faces, profiles and fragments of bodies. In the lower right corner, a linear figure of a person lying down is noticeable, which brings an element of intimacy and calm to the work in contrast to the turbulent surroundings.
The main contrast is built on a bright collision of hot magenta, purple and deep pink strokes with a cold sky-blue background.
In the center above the roof of the house and in the windows, pasty strokes of turquoise and grass-green paint are applied. These accents refresh the composition, adding a lively visual pulsation to it.
The work is done in mixed media. A multilayered approach is used.
A dynamic color field is created with wide expressive brushstrokes of acrylic.
A line is drawn on top of the color spots with a thin black marker. It acts as a kind of mental automatism: it snatches specific figures, outlines and images from the color chaos, structures the space and turns pure abstraction into an intellectual narrative.
