Description
This is a painting executed in the style of Impressionism, or even Expressionism, using thick strokes of paint. The artist used pastel shades such as beige, cream, pink and brown, creating a delicate, airy image of flowers, presumably chrysanthemums. The flowers seem to dissolve into the space, merging with the background, which gives the work a sense of ephemerality and movement.
