Description
The line unfolds with instinctive freedom. The graphite pencil draws sinuous curves. The body stretches in a dreamlike torsion. The shapes intertwine to create a hybrid figure. A mix of nude and fantastic settles on the white paper.
The composition plays on fluidity. The lines are fast and precise. A few discreet touches of color come to highlight the volumes. The eye is drawn to the striking expression of the face. The mouth opens widely. An organic movement seems to animate the entire silhouette.
The graphic approach recalls observational drawing mixed with the imagination. The contrast between the finesse of the line and the force of the subject creates a unique visual dialogue. This 2022 creation explores sensuality through a surrealist prism. The final rendering favors the lightness of the gesture. The work focuses on the dynamics of the curves and the balance of masses. The drawing ends with light hatching and shades of red and green.

Presentation
Shank Arte lives in Mérignac and works in Bordeaux.
He has been drawing since kindergarten and will always be drawn to artistic creation.
He started photography in 1998 and learned the B&W lab in 1999, then developed his practice with regular photo workshops (shooting – by Gérard Vallet) from 2000 to 2009 (Studio or outdoor shooting) - analog and digital.
In 2004 he enrolled in oil painting classes with the artist Catherine BOUYX in Bordeaux.
Shank Arte enrolled in 2008 at the Condé school (Créasud) in Bordeaux for a foundation course in applied arts. He obtained his BTS in Visual Communication in 2011.
He created a digipak CD (for Gloom), various logos, posters, wedding invitations, business cards, and illustrations until 2014, when a professional opportunity to manage a pharmacy brought him to Mayotte. Indeed, after completing his pharmacy studies in 2000 and obtaining his doctorate in pharmacy in 2002, he practiced as a pharmacist.
Before flying to Mayotte, he had time to take private oil painting lessons from the artist Valentin CARO.
