Description
A serene exploration of minimalism. This artwork captures a hypnotic energy through thousands of meticulously placed acrylic dots. The composition evokes a celestial orbit or a ripple in still water. A luminous white circle dominates the neutral background. It expands in rhythmic layers.
The artist draws inspiration from aboriginal traditions and the precision of pointillism. Each point is applied individually over several weeks. This patient process transforms the wooden support into a textured relief. The play of light and shadow creates a tactile depth.
The organic flow suggests a labyrinthine path. It balances geometric rigor with a fluid, natural spirit. Such repetition induces a meditative state in the viewer. The neutral palette emphasizes form over color. This piece stands as a testament to disciplined craftsmanship and abstract purity. The subtle contrast between the raised dots and the flat surface defines the visual experience.
Presentation
Diana Torje is a prizewinning French-Romanian artist born in 1983 & based in Paris whose works have been exhibited in solo and group shows throughout France & worldwide. Inspired by nature and organic forms, the artist developed her own abstract style that combines graphics with painting to create labyrinth like pieces. Inspired by Aboriginal Art, she also creates impressive artworks in the style of pointillism, spending several weeks to apply small acrylic points one by one onto the canvas.
