Description
Urban art seizes a global icon to question the codes of consumption. The black line, sharp and precise, structures a dynamic composition divided into two chromatic planes. On one side, cool tones contrast with a saturated red that invades the lower part.
The character wears hearts instead of eyes, a symbol of blind fascination. Paint drips run along the face and clothing, bringing a raw and spontaneous touch to the whole.
The accumulation of gold pieces in the hand emphasizes a theme related to wealth and material. This graphic play mixes the aesthetic of graffiti and contemporary popular culture.
The final rendering alternates between blocks of color and subtle gradients. The whole is made on canvas with a mix of spray cans and markers.
Presentation
Unik is a Polish street artist. From a very young age, he devoted himself to painting and painted on several supports, including walls. In 2014, he obtained his Master's degree in Art at the University of Zielona Gora in Poland. Unik is inspired by Pop Culture to which it adds its artistic "urban street" touch.
He experimented and continues to experiment with shapes, colors, drips, a kind of steetart mix.
He is regularly invited to street art events in Poland, Germany.
Unik is now exhibited in the Principality of Monaco.
