Description
Pop aesthetics takes over here with an emblematic figure to explore the theme of wealth. The line is sharp. The colors are saturated. The contrast between deep red and electric blue structures the composition.
The artist uses the codes of street art to détourn the image of the billionaire duck. Monetary symbols replace the gaze. Bundles of bills and gold coins float in a space saturated with graphic patterns.
The work on textures evokes urban culture. We observe paint splatters and controlled drips that bring dynamism to the whole. The influence of manga and comic books is felt in the precision of the black outlines.
The background plays with reminders of luxury logos, treating consumption as a decorative element. The superposition of planes creates an artificial depth. The image ends with a play of dots, recalling the screen-printing technique used in old printing.
Presentation
Unik is a Polish street artist. From a very young age, he devoted himself to painting and painted on several supports, including walls. In 2014, he obtained his Master's degree in Art at the University of Zielona Gora in Poland. Unik is inspired by Pop Culture to which it adds its artistic "urban street" touch.
He experimented and continues to experiment with shapes, colors, drips, a kind of steetart mix.
He is regularly invited to street art events in Poland, Germany.
Unik is now exhibited in the Principality of Monaco.
